Home exchanges will let you see just how much time is involved with cleaning and maintenance of a home, since it is expected that the home be left in the same condition it was in when the visitors first arrived. This knowledge will help put perspective on the challenges of property ownership with a sizeable lawn, or a home with more than one level and many rooms.

Now, with the market low and the economy in a recession, it is safer in many ways to wait on purchasing and instead look to something for rent.
